The 2026 Rugby League World Cup is here!

England travel down under for the 2026 Tournament, on the quest for their first ever World Cup trophy (as just England, not Great Britain). They came close in 2017, losing in the Final to Australia 6-0 in Brisbane.

But can they go all the way this year?

Coach Brian McDermott has a squad packed full of stars: including Hugo Savala & Victor Radley from the Sydney Roosters, Dom Young & Herbie Farnworth of the Newcastle Knights; and Warrington Wolves trio Matty Ashton, Ben Currie and George Williams.

Up first is a challenging test in Tonga.

Newcastle Knights veteran and Grand Finalist Tyson Frizell will lead the way for Tonga, supported by Jason Taumalolo, Haumole Olakau’atu, Addin Fonua-Blake, Stefano Utoikamanu, Kulikefu Finefeuiaki, Leka Halasima and Salesi Foketi.
