Rugby League World Cup - England v France

The 2026 Rugby League World Cup is here!

England take on the old enemy France, in their second group stage match.

Form has been with England in recent meetings with les Chanticleers, including a 64-0 thumping in Warrington, and most recently a 40-8 victory in Toulouse.

France have the talented Latrell Siegwalt of the South Sydney Rabbitohs to lean on, as well as eight picks from Toulouse, including Benjamin Laguerre, César Rougé & Thomas Lacans.

England are without Jake Connor, who won last year's Super League Man of Steel award, after coach Brian McDermott decided instead to bring Mikey Lewis. A surprise omission, time shall tell if it was the right decision, after the Leeds star racked up 43 try-assists this season.
