The 2026 / 27 Premier League continues this weekend, and we’ve got the final early kick off, with Tottenham hosting Aston Villa.

Spurs have splashed some cash in the Summer transfer window, bringing in Jan Paul van Hecke, Mateus Fernandes, Sandro Tonali, Savio & Mykhaylo Mudryk. After steadying the ship late last season, can manager Roberto De Zerbi keep Spurs trending upwards away away from the drop zone?

After winning the Europa League last season, and seeing a strong Villa representation at the World Cup, a lot has since changed for Unai Emery’s men.

Morgan Rogers, Youri Tielemans, Ezri Konsa, Ollie Watkins and Emi Martínez have all departed; and the spine of Aston Villa will look wildly different this season.

However, the Villa hierarchy hasn’t sat and dwelled; swiftly bringing in Johan Manzambi, João Gomes, Nicolas Jackson, Ibrahim Mbaye and Zion Suzuki to fill the void; and there’s good reason to stay excited at Villa Park.

But with two losses to start the season for both clubs, the mounting pressure to start winning points could make this an exciting clash.
