The NFL is coming to Melbourne!

The LA Rams are setting up the iconic MCG as their temporary home, for their Week 1 clash against the San Francisco 49ers.

The Rams start the NFL season as favourites to win the Super Bowl, after a strong 12-5 season last year, that where they fell just-short to eventual champions Seattle. But they’re ready to go again in 2026, and have boosted the roster with defensive superstars in Miles Garrett and Trent McDuffie; while veteran QB Matthew Stafford just seems to get better with age.

Divisional rivals San Francisco also had a strong 2025, finishing with a 12-5 record; and will look forward to the healthy returns of Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, Nick Bosa, and Fred Warner to the field.
